Dr. Katsman is an experienced fellowship-trained Retina Surgeon. Her philosophy is to bring an individualized and compassionate approach to maintain, preserve and restore her patients’ vision. Her goals are to make doctor’s visits relaxed, informative, and procedures pain free.

Dr. Katsman was born in Lithuania and moved to California. Her passion is to restore people’s ability to lead productive lives started as an undergraduate at UCLA and led her to pursue PhD studies, researching the use of Stem Cells to restore retina in such conditions as age-related macular degeneration, retinal strokes, and diabetic retinopathy. Her pioneering research work resulted in publications in top science journals, presentations at national and international meetings, and filing of a patent for novel stem cell therapies for degenerative eye diseases.

Following her dream to restore vision, Dr. Katsman completed her ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, currently ranked among top 5.
